China 1918 Hubei 50 cash - rather unusual coin

Picked this coin up:



This is a rather difficult coin to find in better condition. This coin was modelled after Sichuan 50 cash which you can see an exmaple here:



While I haven't been throughly reading the history of different Chinese Provinces, it might be one of the coins struck during the chaotic warlord era. Quite fascinating.

Got a feeling that it might have been one of the military governors that wanted to take his idea of establishing such coins from Sichuan to Hubei.

You certainly have some unusual hard to find Chinese coins, take a look at the Chinese coins on Ebay UK, the same seller who is selling a massive collection of his father collected over many years, last 4 weeks has seen some some fantastic & rare Indian coins, this week it's Chinese coins & there are likely to be some rarities
