I have little hope that this one gets solved. Nickeled (magnetic), 7.5 grams, 24.9 mm. Both sides are the same. Possibly Mediterranean ;D

I found two listed on Delcampe - one located in Italy, another in Serbia, as casino tokens. Baccarat is known as Punto Banco this may have some bearing.

Have a look at  my tokens and my banknotes.

Serb casino token makes very good sense to me. Thanks, Malcolm.

I'm not at home at the moment so can't check, but I have something similar which says VALE 1 PUNTO on both sides. I imagine it's something similar to yours, though mine is much plainer (no further decoration). I think the text on mine can only be Italian (while punto could be Spanish or Portuguese I think vale in the relevant sense could only be Italian, but I may be wrong). IIRC mine is the same size as an old (pre-1992) 100 lire coin.

I don't know about the token, but regarding the FosseWay's comment, in Spanish "vale un punto" is like "the value is one point".

Ah, OK, I wasn't sure whether the verb ending was the same in Spanish. Thanks for clearing that up.
