@josephjk

Love the detailing on the fish - the photo does not do them justice

Prosit

I have 11 types from Bangladesh and not too many more to go.  It is fun to work on a type set where the types don't number in the hundreds.  Makes me feel like I am accomplishing something.

Congratulations; Nice coins!

@josephjk

Thanks Dale! I have 9 types so far  - would like to know how many types there are...

@josephjk

Numista shows 28 types but I'm not sure the list is complete - it might be..

The Numista list includes 4 commemorative coins (the last 4 types shown) out of the list of 28.  Thus, there are 24 types intended for circulation.  There are also 13 commemorative coins (1 nickel, 11 silver, 1 gold) that have been issued.

The most difficult type to find is the 50 poisha showing a pigeon dated ১৯৭৩ (1973).

There are many errors in reported dates perhaps because the number "" has the value 4 and the number "" has the value 7.  ০১২৩৪৫৬৭৮৯ = 0123456789.

For the date collector, many of the 5 poisha and 10 poisha coins are hard to find even though they are given very low catalog values.  Many were probably melted for their scrap value.

Thanks,
nat

Nice coins Joseph. I like the 1975 one taka. One taka of 1976 is another difficult piece to collect.
