Thank you! That is a great download indeed - and the price sure is right. :)  Just had a look at the file size: about 80 MB. I have an earlier version of that catalog, published in February 2011, which is about 60 megs "only" ...

As the "EuroCirculante" in the file name suggests, the catalog focuses on the circulation coins (and the €2 commems). In some cases - notably Spain :) - the author Miguel Angel also added collector coins. The PDF file has about 700 pages and is in Spanish, but if you don't understand the language, this catalog will still be helpful.

My anti-virus warned me against downloading this.
I take it that it's safe then?

I downloaded the catalog and this new version looks great. I had no problem with antivirus.

I know Miguel Angel from the Spanish forum. He spent a lot of time with this catalog. He insists that it must be free. Some people tried to sell it on eBay (and the free bimetallic catalog too). They managed to take advantage of somebody else's work. And it makes no sense to pay for it, as you can download it legally.

As chrisild said, it is useful even if you can't speak Spanish. Anyway, if there is any problem with translation, let me know.

Edit : the title is :
Europa Circulante
España Completo

So it makes sense that it shows Euro circulation coins, plus a "complete" catalog of Spain. Anyway it is normal that the author is Spanish and focuses on this country.

I'm having problems downloading it - it goes through the motions but then gives a download failed message and nothing appears in my downloads folder. Ideas?

Don't know.  ???

I click on the "Download" button. Then the text switches to "Your download is starting...", and the the "Save as" dialog shows.
What is the exact procedure you follow? What fail message do you get?  :-\

FosseWay

It's OK, it's worked this time. For some reason the first three attempts aborted part way through and gave an error message that I can't now remember. Probably my flaky internet connection rather than anything more fundamental.

A new edition of that catalog by Miguel Ángel has just been issued. Jesus from Numismática Visual mentioned it at his website, and you can download the PDF (free) below. As with the previous versions, the catalog is in Spanish. The focus is on Spain (that is, the catalog covers all Spanish euro coins) but you can also get a good overview of the circulation coins from the other euro countries.

I finally managed to download the catalog yesterday, after hundreds of failed attempts. ::) Looks good to me, however due to it's size and picture density, the pdf file is bit slow when we browse it. I wish it was in English...

I already have a hard copy of Leuchtturm Euro Catalog (2013 Edition; I received it on December 31, 2013!) which is in German. ;D It serves my basic requirements pretty well, I do not intend to buy the 2014 edition, perhaps will get the 2015 edition when it's out. :)

If anybody has this kind of issue, flag it. We have a good hosting service here, so whenever there is something interesting we want to do, we can try to work it out. For this matter, we could make that file available in the forum, in case the download works better for you.

And you know we have language experts too  ;) , so feel free to ask if you don't understand anything in Spanish. Fortunately text is simple enough so that any online translator may be good enough.

This link to the February 2014 edition of Miguel Ángel's catalog may work better ...

Christian,

Thanks for the link. However, it first asks me to download (and install) an .exe file before downloading the pdf. I'm usually not in favor of downloading such unknown exe files as they have caused trouble in the past... ::)
