Portugal, 10 Reis, John V 1706 -1706-1750   KM#217 Although listed as milled coinage the coin has characteristics of being hand struck, slightly buckled & top edge flanged

KM is right. Your coin is damaged by someone who wanted to make an upset edge. The ribbed border has disappeared and the margin between legend and edge is gone also.

I have several of these and they all have normal edges for milled coins. Yours has been monkeyed with.  ;)
