Poland 2012: Krzemionki (Prehistoric Flint Mine)

In two weeks a new set of Polish coins comes out, dedicated to the prehistoric flint mine in Krzemionki. There will be a 20 zł collector coin (silver, mintage 45,000) and a 2 zł commemorative coin (Nordic Gold, mintage 800,000).

I have seen a lot worse coming out of Poland. Good use of structure to make the subject jump out at you. They invite a second look at the details and make you want to visit the mine. Not good enough to buy the pseudo coin, but I'll have that PLN2 one day...
