I particularly liked the following amendment. (The date at the end ) ( summary taken from myeurohobby)

-Issuing countries that do no comply with the rules eg not showing the country's name eg Germany; showing the denomination on the national side eg Austria; not showing the stars as they look on the flag eg Luxembourg - they have "to update their national sides of regular coins in order to fully comply by 20 June 2062."

Makes sense to me. After all, 50 years is, very roughly, the lifespan of a circulation coin.

Side note - another regulation (which the Council agreed to earlier this week) affects the commemorative €2 coins, see here. But I guess that text has not been published in the OJ yet ...
