The solder mark suggests that this piece was worn as an amulet.

Dear Overlord,
I think that this "cold case"  :) is a timurid silver tanka of Shah Rukh which has been mounted on a collar.
The 1st picture needs to be rotated 90° to to left, and we can see the loop of "kh" of Rukh with the "H" of Shah inside (3 o'clock after rotation) and may be (not certain !) the date at 9 o'clock : 84x.

Amazing attribution, Saro! I would never have got this one without your help.
The mint, I think, is Sultaniya (Soltaniyeh) (compare with the example here). Now for the countermark...

I had to walk through 60 pages of my old posts to find this one. The search feature wouldn't show it.
I had a vague memory of having a coin of Shah Rukh, but wasn't sure.

PS: Amazingly, now the Search feature shows the thread. :-P

That's just old age, Overlord :) Don't worry. It'll get worse. :D

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
