I believe she is looking at a triskelion on the reverse of the coin.

How comes no strange dual portrait obverse like Pobjoy have used on *all* of their other 2012 offerings? I was at least waiting to see if they'd go ahead and do something like that on the Manx circulation coins for this year...

No idea - also waiting to hear if the 5 and 10p are going to be steel.

Thank you, andyg. I can in fact recognise the triskele but find it comical that it is apparently floating in the Queen's line of vision.
