Well, it's probably two with a chariot :)

Any ideas?  Many thanks.
From what I've read, I believe it was the Beano, it's Dacian?

Obverse: Wreathed head

My office colleague used to wear a Ralph Lauren t shirt that had a six legged pony on it.  ;D

Another favourite is the four-legged turkey from Fawlty Towers. This, however is a biga. Wish I knew more...

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Here is a Queen Anne farthing with the Biga reverse, this gives some idea of the reverse on your coin - as a fine set of legs is displayed!

Notice too the date J7J3; the J is mentioned elsewhere.

Okay here we go. Given I can't see much due to lack of contrast the reverse is a biga however you count the number of heads rather than the legs so it might at a stretch be a quadriga.

Now we had a couple of things. The head on the obverse is facing left and so is biga on the reverse. This is rather rare from memory and the only ones I can remember were Republic issues of silver that had this combination. If the obverse could be shown with more contrats maybe more could be seen. For example is that really a wreathed head or is it a fancy helmet?

This is the best I can do with the technology I have to hand...............  ::)
Hope it helps  ;)

I have new technology.  8) When I figure out how to get the best out of it I shall try and get a better piccy.

I now see the possibility of an elaborate head dress as I've just read Ancient Celtic Coin Art by Simon Lilly.  The Bellovaci had Apollo left on a few of their coins.

SUSSED IT!  :o ;D

On the obverse:  It's three heads!
On the reverse : Bottom left, I can just make out the top of REMO

So, it's GALLIA BELGICA - REMI (Area of Reims) C1 BC

Just got a new old book  8)
Atlas de Monnaies Gauloises  Henri de la Tour
Not the original  :'(  - a 1982 reprint.

This piece is very similar to 8040 (Plate XXXII)
