Capping Liberty (Exhibition in Princeton)

The Princeton University Library currently shows an exhibition called "Capping Liberty - The Invention of Numismatic Iconography for the New American Republic". One of the famous exhibits is the 1792 Half Di(s)me, another one is the Libertas Americana by Augustin Dupré.

The exhibition in Princeton, NJ can be visited until 8 July. Or look at the coins, medals and documents online (see the first link above); great photos of many exhibits. Some of the historic documents may be a little hard to read, but that is not necessarily a question of the image size. :)
