Can anyone throw some light about Civil Aviation and ICMR Rs.5 coins coming out of any other mint apart from Mumbai

kolkata mint is the first to release coins unfortunately some of them are not even sanctioned

I got both coins of kolkata mint yesterday. Actually they were gifted by B.K. Kar sir.

Has anyone tried to book online for the ICMR and the Civil Aviations sets ? I did it just now, but strangely, the system only allows me to book one proof and one unc of each (which was not the case before)...as a result i had to book several times. I got a confirmation charge on my credit card for all except the last transaction....The system in anycase sent me a confirmation even for the last failed transaction. However, the email says the mint will confirm the order in a seperate email. Anyone knows how long that will take ?

it happened with subu the mint will confirm in a month or so. 

the order that is the sets will take a long time to arrive i would say jan 2013 if we are lucky but i guess even that deadline will be missed as the mint scrambles to get the 1000 rs orders executed

There are 2 confirmation mails, the first one is auto and one gets is for paid or failed transaction. This has not meaning, except for the order number details. The second mail comes next day after they verify credit.
Incase of failed transaction, [this happened to me during Subramaniam set] you need to get the details from your card company [they will provide reference number and settlement date details] using this write a mail to Mint on gmail address  ; follow up every week; and you will sooner or later get the acknolwedgement. I got mine after 4 follow-ups around 5 weeks later.

Not everyone is Oracle who can predict the furture and know that things will happen in 5 weeks ... for mortals like us, we need to keep doing things in the hope of defining the future, little knowing that future is already decided by the Oracle.

tsk tsk so when your best friend doesnt get the confirmation for 5 weeks the system is working ok?   

maybe its time for me to declare the system is working ok

well you know once one reaches the state of nirvana things become very simple   

either one pays or does not pay for the set

either one receives or does not receive the set

the two statements above may or may not be linked

there is little i can do as evidenced historically

since this is just a hobby i choose to just enjoy the ride
