Great research, Overlord. That dates it 1978-1996.

Again, I don't know French but there appears to be a mention of "Piastre" as the club's currency:

May be this club is the solution. My thoughts led into another direction.

If I remember it correct 19 Piastres once were one Spanish Dollar in Egypt. There was a Palace Casino at Port Said. The symbol could well stand for the Suez Canal (desert - canal - desert and at top the ribbon loop for Port Said). The type of jetons is older than mentioned by Peter. An example of the fifties is shown below:

Correct: New York avait son Studio 54. Paris avait son Palace, avec un magazine portant son nom et sa propre monnaie (la piastre).

New York had its Studio 54. Paris had its Palace, with a magazine of the same name and its own currency (the piastre)

My congratulations , Overlord i
You have probably found the best answer to my search which lasts since several years
To go further,I will now try to dig inside the 70's story of Paris nights.

Figleaf

This is how the place looks now. Shuttered, but ready to be re-cycled.

Any links that include free.fr do not work in Australia and no doubt elsewhere.  ???

So if you could add the relevant items here it would be most appreciated.
