It's Scare Yourself Silly time!

Some time ago someone posted a question about the safety of collecting tokens
from leper colonies.

I recently obtained a Great Britain half crown from 1663,
and wondered if it might have been around during the black death plague
which occurred in London in 1665.

However, there was the "Great Fire" in London in 1666,
which may have sterilized the coin as far as plague germs.
