Both suggestions (nearly) correct. This token is Kooy KB147A, a canteen token of Fokker-Avio Diepen, a factory of airplane parts located in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Thank you, that one has been on my desk for weeks.  8)

Have a look at  my tokens and my banknotes.

looks like nickel plated.

Owww. Mysterious. The diameter is suitable, the metal odd but acceptable. The logo (no text, no shadow, no light effect) is used by DE, but as far as I can tell not in the Netherlands. The closest I got is Belgium. I am inclined to take this token as non-Dutch.

Convincing evidence and it makes perfect sense. Selecta is housed in the building that was used before by Pelican Rouge and Automatic Holland. This probably means that there are still coffee machine tokens being used. Amazing.

Unusual diameter, though.

Just got a fast reply from Pelican Rouge. They carry two tokens. They believe this is part 00592, which would be "for ingredients" (am thinking of soup). There is also a coffee machine token, part 000414.

More information from the horse's mouth. This is not the coffee machine token. The diameter of the coffee machine token (it can also be used for other Selecta machines) is 22.5 mm.

i have another one, but this is 24.1mm

Figleaf

That's unfair :) Seriously, I trust the people at Selecta. They are likely to have a data base and a search would have turned up three tokens if there had been three. Selecta is an international company, so logically, they would have other size tokens for other countries. Rather, ther question is now which of the two tokens you have is Dutch. I gave them the diameter but got no confirmation and you can't expect the Selecta people even to see the difference, apart from size.

My guess is that we'll have to wait until a coffee token turns up and work from there.

i have more selecta tokens : Selecta
but only the above tokens have the S logo.

I too have eight different Selecta tokens, two of these have the S logo in both 22mm and 25.4mm sizes.

I hadn't noticed until I saw an enlarged picture. A somewhat clumsy heart shape and a capital L as I learned to write it in school decades ago are decorating the reverse of this coffee machine token. Filtrum sold these tokens to buyers of their vending machines, so we don't know anything about the person who expressed his love for L on a coffee token. However, I like to think it was a lonely factory hand, who in the end managed to marry the boss's secretary ;)

Not so far fetched as my brother did in fact marry his bosses secretary!  ;)   (They have been together for many years now)
