That ad got on my nerves straight away!  ;D

It seems like a very small timeframe for said piece?

Can't lay hands on it at the moment, but there's also a Deinhard Wine Florin in exactly the same format.

Bourg-en-Bresse is not just the capital of the very nice Côtes de Bourg redwine, but also of the Poulet de Bresse, a chicken that actually tastes like chicken. The two are a fine combination with a strong sauce of redwine and lardons.

Curiously, the series is not in Elie.

I like Côtes de Bourg 8) And lardons - fatty bacon.  Hmmm ;D
Remember Peter, Elie generally only lists tokens with monetary values.

A nice example of a denomination that didn't circulate in official coin. At the time, the lowest available denomination was 5 centimes. I suppose it was a commercial trick: buy 2 tokens for 25 cents and get your drinks for 12-½ centimes instead of 15 centimes.

Saint-Etiennes is South-West of Lyon. Just over 200 km to the South is Bédarrides, where Bérard Père et Fils are grossistes en vins.

Just had a look for Bédarrides in Elie, not listed.  But strangely I spotted another 12½c bon pour consommation in the Cafe Pontvianne, Beauzac.  Doesn't mention wine though :'(

I wasn't claiming the tokens belong to the Bédarrides enterprise, rather that the family and their business seem to have moved there. There are more 12-½ centimes denominated tokens and I believe that shape is popular among them. Maybe their geographical locations (Beauzac is close to Sant-Etienne) are concentrated? Commercially, it seems like a good idea. Give a 16-⅔% discount and take seigniorage and loyalty advantages. As for the Café Pontvianne, I would be mightily surprised if the consommation in question were Coca Cola or Whiskey...
