Maybe sometime, you will meet one with less wear. Meanwhile, you already have one, that shows it had to work. What's wrong with work? In fact, Victoria never smiled so nicely as on this coin.

Islam - you can call this one the Victoria "Mona Lisa" 1/4 Rupee!

I could be wrong but it feels to me that this coin might be a fake. Can you please check it's weight?
My goal for 2017 is to finish finish my British India copper collection (1/4 anna, 1/2 Pice and 1/12 anna) by year and Mintmark. Any help with missing coins in BU grades is highly appreciated.

I have seen much worse wear. Especially for a small coin, I think it ain't 'alf bad :)

I was also disturbed by the pitting around some of the letters, but realised that the coin has probably been cleaned a long time ago, removing some oxydation that had formed in and around the letters. The fact that it takes some time to realise that the coin was cleaned proves that it is back to its normal colour.
