In 1977 San Marino issued an interesting 10-lire coin. What I don't know is if it is a foot or a footprint.

The inscription ("l'orma dei veleni dell'uomo") means something like "the footprint of man's poisons". So it is a footprint, but the ecological kind. :)

An ecological footprint...I like that. The next ime I leave footprints on my wife's clean kitchen floor, I'll tell her that. It should surprise her enough to let me make my escape unscathed. ;D

Well, I'm sure brandm24 knows that I have a topic called Feet, footprints and footwear on coins, because he's been rummaging through my old thematic topics.  ;)

So, whether 'ecological' or not, his footprint coin must unfortunately be REJECTED!

A bit harsh. coming up to Christmas, I know, but rules are rules, y'know.  :(

Has anyone thought of moving the "operative" part of this discussions into the footprints and footwear thread? ;D

Peter
An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Prosit

It might still be unique as a coin to show a footprint of man on a celestial object.

Neat! That should go to the "Two of a kind" topic.  ;D
