The release ceremony was held.
The coins are not yet available for booking ... looks like another 4-6 months before we can see the booking open ...
This might be some time as there are other coins that are released where booking is yet to open ...

Thanks Dheer.  I am looking forward to this coin.  My father is a big fan of Swami Vivekananda (he studied at Ram Krishna Mission) and this would be a great gift.

The Vivekananda coin may be many months (possibly one year) away.

There is a backlog at Kolkata mint. The Kolkata mint has yet to start booking of 60 years of Kolkata mint; which was released one year back.

The Government of India has minted the above mentioned coins which the Reserve Bank of India will shortly put into circulation

i guess it will be a matter of few weeks or a couple of months before it comes in circulation. Ebay doesnt list of these, or atleast i couldnt find. So maybe more time, eh?

It is surprising the Vivekananda was issued originally by Kolkata Mint but our dear Oracle laid his hands on the Mumbai coin.

Yep surprised to see Mumbai issue before Kolkatta ... but then strange is the way of life ...

Ok. Remember subramaniam coins? The ones from bombay w/o the usual marks which were given out as calcutta mint issues? Maybe this time its the calcutta mint returning the favor, these coins with the diamond marks are the vip coins from calcutta mint.
