Rupee 1939, genuine and less genuine

Here is a 1939 one rupee forgery:

It is 11.31 grams, silvery material, and -- obviously -- a cast forgery

Convincingly a fake. And the outline on 9 (last one) is a symptom of cast coin. Is it a contemporary or modern?

Islam, it is a modern forgery made somewhere around Mysore.

In addition to the figure of 9, I suggest you to check the rim of the coin for very crude filing marks which the faker did not try to hide. In other words, a sucker is born a minute and coins are getting sold with clear/obvious signs that it is a fake  -- Shastri

I would call it a dummy. But one may call it a fake as the manufacturer did not inscribe anywhere as a copy or dummy.
