Never seen such fish on any Indian coins till now. Can some one please help attribute?

Iran again, I would venture. There is a similar coin (KM150) in KM with the fish looking the other way.

Dear Peter,

Thank you for pointing at Iran. Does 7.1g fit the range of coins there?

Yes. Weights range between 4.5 and 11 grams. Most values are between 6 and 10 grams.

kriehle on ZENO has attributed this coin as "Similar to coin number 34540, which is listed as Jujid AE pul, temp. Toqtamysh, with an image of a sturgeon". Any views?

I'd be happy to give my opinion for a better one. There is so little to go on. I can't make the lettering fit, though. Can you?

I agree with you, Peter : it's really difficult...
It seems that in the middle we have :"falu"(s) but that doesn't give something more...
I think that on the other face there is no room for a 2nd fish?

It is a civic copper of Dezful (Khuzestan / West of Iran); the mintname is at bottom but not really clear...
