I got the ultra rare MMM with "diamond mark"  ;D

I will soon put these on ebay for a reasonable amount of money 8) ;). This will be a private listing and buyers will be invited via ultra secret PM :P

Did you get these in circulation?
The diamond looks more rare than the M mark ... however both are available with dealers in the range of Rs 10

Dear Dheer...

If i post anything about any ROI coins which I have, then you can bet I have got it in circulation; without using any connections, without paying anyone anything except for the face value. ;D.

Thats how i collect coins... the old fashion middle class way... note I am middle class citizen and numismat... and not a middleman. 8) ;D

My earlier post was a poke at pple selling roi coins on ebay using fabricated stories. I hope my forum friends and fellow collectors take this in the right sense. All I am saying is wait and these coins are in circulation. Not being arrogant or ridiculing anyone. Hope i dont incur the wrath of any mods ;)

In case you curious, I got these at a payment counter @parking lot in a mall in Thane

Regards,

dheer

Dear mumbapuri,
There are quite a few who collect coins only from circulation ... beekar is one of them and most of the error coins he has are also from circulation ...
even i was someone who would collect coins from circulation however in past few years patience got the better of me and i started buying them ... ya there is less fun in it ... but anyways to each his own  :)

Well there are ordinary people like me who have to wait ... and then there are special people who get the coins & pictures when they are released ... so the images are possibly from VIP sets similar to the Vaishno devi

I got my sets today. Initial impression, good strike quality. The outer package day by day shows signs of hastiness; there is excessive gumming and one has to actually pull out the inside cover from the outer cover ... the coin windows also not of exact size ...

On the proof silver coin, one of the lettering shows unusual thickness ... not sure what caused it.

One of my friend Got proof set without Rs5 coin...Has any one had same experience?
Now what action he should take?
Vivek

dheer

1. If he has not thrown the outer package, check in the package, it could have come off loose and fallen ...
2. Did the package show any signs of damage ie was torn and resealed? In which case he shouldn't have accepted the parcel.
3. The best course now would be to write to Mint and complain. However there is no proof that they made an error ... so he will not get anything. The best is for him to sell of the silver coin and buy a new set.

Dheer & Paise could be right. The 5 Rs coin could be still inside the booklet. It might have moved from blister to the cardboard portion of booklet.

When I got my Hyd RBI set, my heart skipped a beat as 10 Rs coin was missing. Then I realized that it was stuck in the cardboard. I tapped the booklet, and it came back to its intended resting place in the blister  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D.

I dont think someone has stolen it. If he want to steal, he would have tried 100 Rs coin.  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Vivek

Thanks a lot Dheer, Paise and Kansalji
I will update my friend with these inputs
