Some other pitis? 2
« on: January 02, 2012, 09:12:53 PM »
The next 3 coins measure between 13.5 and 14 mm. They are also uniface.
Upper left and lower coins seem to be dated 1113. I don't know about upper right.
As I don't have a scale, I cannot give weight of the coins.

The upper coin looks to me like Netscher and Van der Chijs 192, dated 1183, while the lower one looks more like NvdC 191, dated 1163. Both are from Palembang. Should the dates not be compltely fictitious, they were struck during the reign of (191) Sultan Mahmud Badr-ud-din Lemabang and (192) Susuhunan Ahmed Nadjam-ud-din.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
