Our National Anthem is 100 years old.
Jana Gana Mana- India's national Anthem,written and composed by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore ,was first sung publicly at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress on 27th December,1911 and later adopted as our National Anthem on 24th January 1950 by the Constituent Assembly.

An eye clinic in Delhi has opened its Centenary (100th) branch
There was a big advertisement in yesterday's TOI
Lets hope GOI issues a coin to commemorate this

Central bank of India celebrated it's centenary this year... But like the eye clinic... I have no inclination to think a commem coin would be issued for this... In the end I presume some milestones are more equal than others

Ah yes, 60th Ann ... That's diamond jubilee I think ? ... Though I don't think the govt has set a precedent on  such issues yet
