I collect 50Ps. What sources can I use other than Krause?

I look to collect all 7 sided 50p pieces from the UK, IoM, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, St Helena, Falklands, Ireland and any other country issuing them (am I missing any?). Other than Spink and Krausse, are there any references I can use to find all known examples released? I am aware of several examples not in either of these books .

Currently I am not collecting silver or gold pieces, only proofs, circulated and uncirculated coins.

I have 210 different examples currently so its only a start but a decent one to start I believe. I would LOVE to have a complete checklist so I could easily update my collection, I currently use an excel document and update as and when I find there are more examples out there

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Have a wade through my topic and the related links for each country:

The Decimal Coins of the Sterling Area

More coins are issued every year, of course, and it takes time to list them:

Some unlisted Gibraltar 50p 2004

But do you want only circulation coins or collector ones too? Gibraltar and the Isle of Man do plenty of those, including Xmas ones, which are not to my taste.

Have a look at Gibraltar's site:

Harold Fears does a nice one for Jersey:

Don't forget our member Tony Clayton's UK site:

Numista is my favourite online quick reference with decent images:

I collect circulated and collectable 50p pieces. I quite like the Christmas editions, IoM for example, I am only missing 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 + 2003. I also collect the TT races pieces, Gibraltar Dolphin 50p pieces and many many other types. Because of the Chrismas editions, I would also collect the Tongo Christmas Pa'anga coins

Thanks for your links :)

Which edition of Krause do you have? - the new edition should be a little more up to date - I supplied a number of previously missing types and illustrations at the end of last year.

They had some odd coins missing - such as the 2003 Falklands 50p.
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....
