« on: January 08, 2020, 10:20:10 AM »
Indo-Scythians, Azes I, Copper, defined as  Deca Chalkon,
Wt : 20.21g,
Dia: 30.3 mm
Hazara Mint,
Obv. king mounted on a horse walking right, holding spear with  greek 'legend  BAΣIΛEΩΣ BAΣIΛEΩN MEΓAΛOY AZOY around,
Rev. humped bull standing to right with Kharoshthi legend around   " maharajasa rajarajasa mahatasa / ayasa"

I could not read the greek partbut realisd the king holding a spear and hence attributed as Azes I. The kharosthi part is pretty readable.

That's a mighty big lump of copper !
For the Greek legend, there are a few characters visible which allow anchoring the Greek text as you gave.
I had some trouble trying to discern the spear due to the corrosion pits. But as the arm of the rider is clearly downwards i agree with your conclusion this will be the type commonly attributed as Azes I. Especially these very
big ones i have not seen often, good find !
