Forgot all about it ... the Rs 2 Games is only from CHN and not from 'M' ... so this is quite strange ...

look at the images closely they are the same coin.

shameless mint.

also you are going to get quite a rude shock with the packaging wait a few years

Are you suggesting that they used the Rs 5 image and changed the color to Silver in photo shop editor!!!

Packaging ... are you suggesting the blister packs are no good and the gum used is bad?? some of the outer covers have already given way ...

Nice observation Oracle Ji.

A close inspection of the scratches and other deformities confirms that both the images are of the same coin.

Louise, Income Tax and Prasad they used a nice art work [ie did not go in for coin photo]
Similarly there was also the art work of Gur-Ta-Gaddi [used in first cover] and Mother Teresa, which the mint could have used ...

Specially Mother Teresa and Subramaniam, the coin photos looks unprofessional ... i mean quite a few of us here could take better pictures of coins ...

Its alright if you say "Louise" instead of "Louis" in a quick post...no ones checking  ;D ....but how about "Braillee" on an Official packaging ? pretty bad proof checking IMO

I think the coin window has PVC and other ahrmful chemicals. In my opinion none of the mints use archival quality material in any of the packing. Even VIP & VVIP sts do not contain archival quality packing.

That's a tough choice for someone who collects packages  :(

I always believed that the blister packs were good way to conserve coins in long run ...

take the coins out and keep the packing separate.  since 1990 parliament coins the packaging is toxic.  also 69 and before packaging is no good.

Dear Dheer

Blister packs are not hermetically sealed (no air/water proof). There are gaping holes between the cardboard walls of the booklet. Moisture present in the air can seep inside and tarnish the coins in long run.

Dissapointing that Mints haven't paid attention to such details ... if required they could have charged few bucks more .... but atleast ensured that packaging is of good quality

80 percent of the coins of Hyderabad mint have fingerprints and or corrosion.  the packaging has a big design flaw.  needless to say if you have those coins u will be very unhappy in the long run
