What is the rate of 1 Rs - 1968 Jagannathan note in Gem UNC condition. Is it resonable priced @ 300. In the bo0k, (Indian Papermoney ) it is priced@ 700.
Please suggest.

Cat price is not that standard price. The price fluctuates as per market conditions depending on demand and supply and fancy of the item. According to Jhunjhunwalla's book it is priced as 400 rupees in UNC condition. The present market price for one note is around Rs 600 as per ebay listing. You may try with good dealer, who may supply you at lesser price.

This shows the prices quoted in the book are not reasonable. You have to seek for fair value by contacting different dealers and browsing on net. I am happy that you got at very good rate. Cheers.
