New Commemorative Issue: 2011: Centenary of ICMR

Hi, I'm new to this blog as well as Numistic.
I'm from chennai & the new commemorative coins (5 Rs) ICMR and Civil aviation  available in all chennai coin dealers.
Price range from: Rs 15-20. I bought 10 coins (Rs 150).
Also last day i went to Chennai RBI & got 5 RS income TAX coin (Chanakya) morethan 50 coins.

i agree .... but all of them are mumbai mint!? any other mints have done this?

you wont know him he used to work in one of our stores and now just runs errands for us.  he doesnt know anything about coins which is a reason i end up paying through my nose and never know what i will end up getting in the package when i open it.  he doesnt understand civil aviation so i told him to get the plane coin for the last 2 weeks with absolutely disastrous results.  I wonder what i will get he when he goes to look for the taraju coins.  he hasnt found those either.

seen a couple of civil aviation in circulation... but the words"years" have been erased due to circulation.... wonder if the cag coins are out in the circulation...
pls add this on yur blog.... it is informative... though it also causes a lot of heart burns... especially for the coins from hyd mint not available locally!

exactly same lions as Calcutta or different lions?  i am surrounded by bumbling idiots who take money and screw up all the time.  will have to ask my friend and bother him to get it for me.

I have received the photo's and it looks like the same as Calcutta mint.  I would be receiving the coins physically in the next couple of days.....

For Civil Aviation: Bombay mint.

Now Chennai RBI issued Civil aviation and ICMR coin. I don't have time to go & purchase it, So I iwll purchase the above coin from dealer with 10% commision.

Missing one more news from me.
Just now my coin dealer told me about Audit controller new 5 rupees coin arrival.
he offered: 10 coins for Rs: 120-150. I don't have option to find other resources in chennai, so i will buy those coins from him.
Surely i will post those coins pics once I received from him. (Please let me know if the price rate is high).
