Thanks Oesho for the confirmation but my other question was is ajmer a common mint??? It was called salimabad on the birthplace of salim(future Jahangir).. Right??
cheers  :)

Jahangir was not born in Ajmer, but at Sikri (Fathepur Sikri). He is named after Shaikh Salim Chishti a Sufi saint. Salim Chishti (1478 – 1572) was one of the famous Sufi saints of the Chishti Order in India. Salim Chishti was the descendant of the famous Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti whose tomb is in Ajmer.

Copper dams of Ajmer are pretty common, those with the name Salimabad are very rare and as yet not represented on the ZENO Database.

Can anyone tell me the exact legend on both obverse and reverse
Thanks  :)
Dr.Abhishek

Oesho

The legend on these copper coins is rather simple and short, but often partly off the flan which makes the reading not always very easy.
