My wife just gave me these two coins.  She was cleaning the downstairs and came across them.  I don't remember where they came from.  I should be more respectful of coins and not misplace them.  Most likely when I die, there will be coins found in the most odd places for months.  I seem to start doing one thing and then do another and then do another and another and never finish any of them.  Maybe it is just getting old.  Maybe it is just me.

Dale, we're in the process of moving house. Boxes are being packed (including all my little round metal friends), furniture and rugs being moved, wrapped, stored and generally cleared away.

Can I find my complete set of Palestine coins? I misplaced them in January, yet even with the entire household being uplifted; they remain invisible.

Welcome to old age, Dale. My best advice would be to trade your simpleton phone for an iPhone or the like and make todo lists while the brain is spinning in no particular direction and you build up an intimidating list of things to do, lose courage and pull out a coin album instead. When written down, todo lists look much better and striking off a line is a pleasure. Cheer up, it'll get worse ;)

Always nice finding a bit silver that you did not know you had.

Melt value of the Mercury dime is about $2.27 at the current price of silver.

Old age... About three times I have rung my mobile phone as a last resort at finding it! A very effective method.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. ;) And misplacing coins ... well, may happen. A while ago I had hardly any time (which of course was a result of my bad time management, but I would never admit that in pub---oops) and would simply put lots of newly acquired coins in a plastic box. My motto then was, one day I will put them in the boxes and albums where they belong.

Well, in that phase I bought coins, two times, that I had already bought before, as I had not updated my checklist either. (Was nothing pricy though). Finally I said, that will get too expensive in the long run. But I still have that nice convenient plastic box. One never knows. ;D

That's so painful! :'( Palestinian coins are not at all easy to find, especially the higher denominations and in higher grades..

Me and dust don't get along so if there are any coins in there, they are gone!

I would say every thing is possible due to

growing collection & growing age

which are reciprocal to each other. ;D ;D

Cheers ;D
Every experience, good or bad, is a priceless collector's item.

Don't worry, Aditya, the god of old age will smile one day and the set will be found in a place where Bob has already looked 365 times.
