Last time it was coins from the Vatican, this time it is a couple banknotes from Mexico.

They look brand new and crisp. Could she just get them at the bank or post office? I was in Mexico many years ago. Banknotes looked filthy at the time, but they still had low grade silver coins in circulation when silver had been phased out in most other countries. Glad the country's making progress.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

They are circulated...the scan is kind to them in this instance.

If you look closely at the bottom of each note's edge...you can see small shadows that denote folds, creases or waves in the note so not as pristine as they first appear.  Never the less, still in pretty good shape and not the dirty ones I am used to seeing.

Dale,
Those are nice notes.Mexico isn't the only Latin American country that uses polymer plastic banknotes.Guatemala now has a plastic 1 Quetzal banknote in circulation.
