A Vintage car made from 10 Rupee Notes
« on: October 07, 2011, 11:33:31 AM »
I got this car from Ebay about 2 years back. The car is made from 10 rupee currency notes. I don't remember, but I got this car somewhere from South India, from a Muslim gentleman. He told me that this car was made by his father, and his father specializes in making different articles from Currency notes. In fact, he had won some awards for making a Taj Mahal from currency notes.

The notes are put in a polythene sheet first, and then glued together. The car can be DISMANTLED and the notes can be used in case of emergency.  ;D ;D ;D

No, this is not Origami. Origami, basically uses only a single sheet of paper to form different figures.

This car, as you can see, is made from about 80-90 notes of 10 rupees.

Then it would be  another skilled art similar to origami (basic concept is same) , However I feel that using many  papers to make single art is much more skillfull .

But the piece you got has another feature Rs.10 bank notes which are smaller in size to create such marvelous stuff.

Cheers ;D

An amazing feat in a time when so much is thrown away or used unthinkingly. People can be so creative. I hope you will never need the banknotes.

It IS indeed origami as it is the art of folding paper regardless of how you want to rephrase it in one way or the other.
