Oops found another variant, now 74 8)  Talking of which I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with subtle die differences, many of which i haven't listed :-[

I've yet to write the histories..........., which was an excellent idea.  8)  And no, I don't correct wikipedia, I've tried in the past but am normally accused of all sorts and my contributions are deleted.  I think you'll be able to work out who I am  :-X
Probably best not to start me on Wiki ::)

The  eagle / no cash value  tokens were used all over the USA as car wash tokens. They could also have been used at amusement tokens. They are generic or "stock" tokens for businesses which don't want to pay to have their own tokens made.

They are known to be a product of Eurocoins in London and are indeed generic and found everywhere and everywhere else. ;)

The mintmarks on some of these generic amusement or carwash tokens are:  RWM = Roger Williams Mint (somewhere in New England); HH = Hoffman & Hoffman (Chicago); GDC = Green Duck Company (originally in Chicago, but in the 1960's moved to Mississippi. A major producer of Mardi Gras doubloons and casino tokens).

Hoffman mint are also located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. U.S.A. using the HM mintmark.

One British supplier of these is Speeder Ltd and theirs do not appear to have a mintmark.
