Looks like you have the same problem as me but with a different casino!

Should I post it at Forum nimismatique.com?

My problem is with the X in the monogram, which I read as COX. Yes, it could be a casino, or a café, or a co-operative or a last name, because the X doesn't fit. Found a little company in the US called The Cox Company, but it doesn't fit. The C seems French, but could be Belgian.

I was thinking Croix or Aix for the X??

X, could conceivably be a personal name, but it is not the name of a place. As the list Romario linked to shows, none of the villages with a name starting with X is remotely big enough to issue a token. The pun doesn't work either. Aix is pronounced as X in English, but the letter is pronounced "eeks". A road crossing is normally a carrefour, not a croix. Croix can be used in geographical names, e.g. "croix de fer", but I have never seen the word cross in any sense represented by a cross. The French just do not use US-style symbolic spelling very much.

Coxyde sur mer?
BTW Aix I pronounce as 'ACHES' and yes I was picking at straws  :D

If they find out you spell Koksijde like that, start taking the Brussels road to go to the North, or you may be in dire straits along de pas de Calais ;)

Google found this one for sale, interestingly it does have OXC but obviously much more modern.

Looks something like a target -- as on a shooting thaler. But the crossed objects in the center look like hockey sticks. Size (40mm) is probably too large for a slot machine. Very strange.
