Not sure this is real, can anyone help me?

Figleaf

The real thing is gold. While the genuine piece is really interesting, I am afraid that this is a copy, widely distributed by Readers Digest. Nice filler for an Austria collector :)

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

That's what I was thinking about.

Whenever I see someone advertising a  "1752 coin" I can usually expect it to be one of these.  A web search for TU DOMINE SPES MEA will bring up lots of references.

I managed to sell it to a friend for 1 euro :D

Figleaf

Fair price. Too bad it wasn't the real thing. Have you told your friend about this site? We could use some more real members, rather than all the spam attacks I need to chuck out every day.

Yes I noticed 3 different ones today. I told him, he might join in the future ;)
