A Rupee dated A.H.1230  with a Jhar symbol but can't find it for sure as it seems similar to various states

AS we progress even in the simple areas of Rupees we are finding more and more 'anomolies' for want of a better word. It is important to ensure correct attribution as to all parts of the coin and when 100% certain ensure the data is made available to all researchers.

It is almost to the stage of me suggesting a separte project section to ensure all of these are at least published so the data is not lost.

You pointed out the correct KM number. The date AH1230/Ry.9 was not earlier recorded and is a new date for this series.

I am so pleased with your discovery date I cleaned your coin. Don't worry, I just rubbed it lightly :)

Chased up contrast and lightened the result. Since you're pleased, I turned your coin into a gold mohur ;)

On a more serious note, it helps to know what you can do with software when you are buying online. Not all pictures are honest.

Even more interesting is that they were struck from the same dies, taking into account die wear and that the force of the hammer strike can expand or flatten the legends, it's clear to see they are from the same dies

Wow Sir, that was a keen pair of eyes indeed that you are having..bang on to the spot..

Now, isn't it an anomaly to find hammered coins using same die? So can i have a peaceful sigh or should i get concerned..?

Most definitely a peaceful sigh, ;D
my coin was bought in the 1960's and add to that the fact that this date was previously unrecorded could indicate that very few were struck and thus not many dies were cut.

We have spotted other examples of die identical hammered coins here on WoC and they occasionally show up with rare types of Mughal coins on Fb forums also
