Krause lists these three types for KN#492. Does anyone know what C/I, A/I means?

1901C C/I, "C" incuse
1901B A/I, "B" incuse
1901B C/I, "B" incuse

I thought C/I was C Incuse but again there is also a A/I with B Incuse. It's gotten me confused.
My goal for 2017 is to finish finish my British India copper collection (1/4 anna, 1/2 Pice and 1/12 anna) by year and Mintmark. Any help with missing coins in BU grades is highly appreciated.

These "codes" refer to die combinations. A, B and C are obverse dies. Bust C occurs only on 1862 coins. I and II refer to reverse dies. There are smilar die combinations on the lower denominated coins. Confusingly, these dies may be different again.

I hope the drawings below help. They show the differences in the lowest panel of the centre of queen Victoria's dress and the large flower at 12 o'clock on the reverse.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Thank you very much Peter! It is very clear to me now :)

Nice presentation sir. I want to add that top lotus of reverse 2 and 4 is similar. There is another type, i.e., reverse 3 which has straightented buds of lotus of type 1.

And though I have a small collections, I checked them and found only one type C obverse with 4.25 panel and that is from 1862.
