The French mint (Monnaie de Paris) has an interesting new exhibition online: "Art and Money - Dangerous Liaisons"
http://expo.monnaiedeparis.fr/content/fascinations

Between mid-July and the end of 2011, they show several photos and videos featuring pieces of art (paintings, sculptures, happenings ...) that are in one way or another "money related". You have five museum halls ("Fascinations", "I sell, I buy", "Flux", "Art corrupts money", "Capitalist models") plus a Market and a Conference Room. Switch from one room to another by using the Map (Plan) pane at the bottom.

The introduction and the explanatory texts are in French, but if you don't understand the language, you can still look at the objects. One video shows Serge Gainsbourg setting a 500 francs note on fire, as he thinks the taxes that he pays are too high and are badly spent. (It was apparently illegal in France, at least back then, to destroy currency.) Ah, open fire and smoking in a TV studio ...

Oh, and in 1977 a kiss with an artist cost 5 francs. See Room 2. 8)

Tracey Emin? Well, in the 1970s "Orlan" would get the media's attention merely by selling kisses. 30+ years later you need to come up with "more" ... Well, according to the caption, money violates her but it also fertilizes her. She sure knows how to sell herself in the art business. :)

Another interesting installation is Gianni Motti's "Money Box". What did he do? He simply took the budget of his exhibition and had it exchanged into cash, more precisely, American $1 notes. These notes would then be arranged as in the picture for example ...
