The CAG coin had  the dot as a part of design element when CAG coin was first unveiled.   There is no dot in the 5Rs CAG Kolkata issued for circulation. I dont know why the dot was removed from circulatory coins.

Pls check if the dot is present in your UNC set or not.

Now I have understood the mystery behind the 'big dot'.

When the Kolkata mint designed the CAG coin, it put the 'big dot' as a part of design. So proof coins were issued with this dot.

However the big dot is exactly in the same place where usually mints put their mintmark. If the 'big dot' continued,  Hyd, Mum & NOIDA were robbed of their usual place for the mintmark. The big dot would also have caused conflict with NOIDA mintmark.

It was probably decided to remove the 'big dot' from all circulatory coins.

You was the first amongst all collectors to get the Thanjavur Temple.         
And you confirmed that your Thanjavur coin was quite different from others..
Having subjected to lots of experiments

our friend Oracle got the first set of Thanjavur temple and he is still to give us a treat..
he also owes me a cup of tea since the last two years (now i have even forgotten the occasion)

there is a mistake somewhere i got my order right now.  the first orders dont count coz even kansal ji gets it after me only the second entry to be used for the game
