There may be a rule of thumb that non-royals who appear on coins and notes soon meet a sorry end.

Any idea what the weird building is? After so many hangings it gives me the wrong impression.

Geert,your Iraqi 100 Dinars is dated '1994 - 1414'.The '1414' is AH1414,which converts exactly to 1994.Some of Saddam Hussein's Iraqi banknotes are dated slightly off,as the AH year is a lunar date that is 11 days shorter.

If you find a 10,000 Dinars dated AH1423 (2003) which depicts Saddam Hussein,hang onto it,as it is a scarce emargency printing that was done by the Americans prior to the introduction of the current Iraqi notes.
