Very nice!  I like the reverse.  Everyone looks freshly bathed and nicely dressed...the reality of it was likely anything but.

Never-the-less, I still love romanticized colorful depictions of the past...except for western cowboy lives and jobs.
I am too aware of their reality to care for those type images much.
