Do these variants exist? All are listed in KM. I have severe doubts on one, some doubts (they may be mint errors, rather than varieties) on all.

I will change the colour of confirmed varieties from red to green. Bold lettering means that the variant does not exist.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Here's a 5 centimes 1901 versus 1895. The 1895 issue is quite worn, I am afraid.

Figleaf

Thanks, Bart, but what is the difference between the lions?

Peter
An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

bart

There is indeed not much difference, if existing. I don't see it.
I put also the 1901 and 1895 examples of the Dutch issue. Perhaps (and I really say perhaps) there is a small difference on the claws and tail, but it is discutable.

bart

On the contrary: there is a difference between 5 centimes small date 1901-1903 and later dates.

bart

And the Dutch 5 centimes:

Figleaf

OK, the whole legend was placed farther from the edge. Fair enough.

SpaBreda

This looks like a 10 Centimes 1920 Fr single line ...
Not really a single line, but rather a normal and a small line  :D

Paul.

I conform the vararity. I have 1 cent 1859 without a dash. (Dash on Dutch = "Streep")

Picture of the 1 cent 1857 further in this topic ;)

Also from the "Numismatica Belgica", the follow date are reported (= three or more examples):
- 1857
- 1858
- 1859
- 1860

Photos on Bart reactions, above.

1894 Fr - 1901 Fr = Normal lion
1901 Fr - 1901 Fl = Different (bigger) lion

Normal lion = the head, claw and trail are further from the inner circle, lion is smaller and father
Different lion =  the head, claw and trail are closer by the inner circle, lion is bigger and thinner

Fr = French and Fl = Flemish

Have never been sure if this is the no dash variety...

It's an 1857 Cent.  Found in a dealers junk box a number of years ago.

always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....
