Gibraltar: David Walliams 50p series 2021/2022

Gibraltar will soon issue a series of 7 commemorative 50p coins to honour British author David Walliams. The coins each commemorate one of the children's books written by Walliams. Coins will be issued for the books: The Boy in the Dress, Mr Stink, Gangsta Granny, Grandpa's Great Escape, Billionaire Boy, Awful Auntie and Ratburger. There will also be a special version of the coins in silver.

The coins will be minted by Pobjoy Mint. The Boy in the Dress is the first coin that will be issued. It can be pre-ordered on this page.

The next coin in the series is due to be released in December. The other 5 coins in the series will be released next year. These 5 coins will also have the date 2022 on them.

The third coin in the series was released last Thursday. Due to way too many releases, I can only post it here now. It is available in coloured basemetal diamond finish and coloured silver proof.

The fifth coin in the series, Ratburger, is now available for pre-order in copper-nickel diamond finish and sterling silver proof. Orders for the coin will be sent out from 27 June.
