Can you tell us what it says on the denomination side?

If the text is close to वेम्बले के नजदीकी सीलर से ईनाम ले (Receive a reward from the nearest Wembley seler?) Google will lead to Wembley Paints.

Excellent, Stef! The logo on the token fits. Since 1961, they are based in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Denomination could be 5 paise - but that coin was square and most types are aluminium - or 5 rupees. Rupee coins appeared first in 1985. First circulation rupee coins (23 mm, no hole) are dated 1992. My guess is that this is an advertising and discount token, issued in the 1990s, a 5 rupee discount would be given for this token on the next order.

Thanks Stef.
Perhaps the legend on reverse refers to "dealer" rather than "seller".
Sent a mail to the company for details.
Hope they respond with some details.
Will update if any info is received.
