Is this Jaipur Nazarana fake or genuine? I am doubtful as its weight is 15.70 gms approx.
Diameter: 33 mm approx
Please let me know.

I hardly count as an expert, Girish, but here goes.

It may be just the light, but it seems to me that this piece has a coppery glow over it that may indicate that it is silvered copper. The odd weight also goes into this direction. The few Nazaranas I have seen were all good silver.

Looks like a genuine Copper Nazarana Paisa from IPS Jaipur. Just compare it with this coin on Todywalla Auctions:

Mughal Issue, Copper Nazarana Paisa, 15.8g, Sawai Jaipur Mint, in the name of Shah Alam II, large jhar, RY 37 (KM 40). Very Fine+, Rare.

Thank you, Abhay. I'd forgotten about the nazarana paisas. The silvery shine is quite probably just a question of lighting.
