FUTUROSCOPE uniface brass 26mm from the Futuroscope Theme Park Poitiers - France.

I found several other types from the park on Google images but not this uniface one.

The patterns on the back don't look random, Malcolm. It may be an "error".

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I believe the pattern is composed of three fingerprints and several dings from other coins caused by use in a machine, something that is frequently seen in this situation.

I was living in Poitiers for Several years and I remenbers thta in the Futuroscope there is different attractions using water that can have been operated by tokens. There is also an arcade room where I am sure it was operated by tokens.

Figleaf

The token has a diameter of 26 mm. That is closest to a 2 francs piece; fine for a water show, but would it have bought you an arcade game?
