The Isle of Man will soon issue 3 commemorative 2 pound coins to commemorate Charles Dickens book 'A christmas Carol'.

Information exclusive to World of Coins Forum and for publication on World of Coins Forum only. Do NOT copy!

Will it be issued into circulation? Or avaliable only on cards/set?
I guess coins produced by Pobjoy Mint.

Usually the Manx commemorative coins are being released into circulation but whether this will also be the case now with the pandemic, I do not know.

The coins will be produced by the Tower Mint.

Forum member Jostein decided to copy and share the information regardless. Much appreciated, Jostein! You are doing a lot of damage this way.

I'm so sorry eurocoin, but you are wrong, the info has been already published in the website of the Parliament of the Isle of Man, as I put in the source of the news in facebook. So, as you requested, I have waited for the info to be published on another site to post the news in my facebook page. Taking advantage of your post, I would like to tell you that I do not understand this desire for exclusivity. But, I respect it, as I do, of course.

No, I am not wrong, Jostein. If I write on here do NOT share, you do NOT share. It is not the first time that you completely ignore this! You come on here, see the information is out. Look for the document and publish it on Facebook. While there has here clearly been written that the information should not be shared further. Had I not written about it here you would never have looked for that document.

The reason that I ask for the information not to be shared is that 288 Group does not like the designs to be shared before they unveil them. I used to share the designs everywhere before 288 Group would unveil them, and as a consequence of that 288 Group put pressure on the Manx government to only still lay new themes and designs before the parliament after the coins have already been issued, which the Manx government agreed to. That is, of course, completely ridiculous and very wrong.

Now, this was the first time in years that the designs were again laid before the parliament before the Westminster Collection unveiled them. And to avoid them from doing the same they did in the past, I only shared on this website that has few visitors and included a very clear message NOT to share the information.

Anyway, it is too late now and "your" information has already been shared everywhere.

Even if you did see it published elsewhere, did you really need to share it?  The problem is that it could be traced back to eurocoin and it then might be more difficult for him to get such information in future.  If he does say don't share, there is a reason for it.  If you respect that, please avoid doing it in future.

I'm sorry, but I want to warn you that I check the laws of the Isle of Man and the Falkland Islands every month, and the laws of Gibraltar once a week. :)

And can you explain what is the relationship between 288 Group and of these coins? Tower mint isn't in 288 Group, is It?
And it seemed to me that last year I found out about the Christmas coin from the Isle of man post office website, and not from the Westminster Collection website
I hope my questions didn't sound rude. I have a hard time with English.
