All Dutch circulation coins featuring King Willem-Alexander have lowercase characters.

Except where uppercase would be used anyway   Here is, as an example, the €1 piece.

As you can tell by looking at the coins from Danzig, those Fraktur and blackletter characters are almost always "mixed" (uppercase/lowercase). After all, a text in ALL CAPS looks terrible with such types. So you could also list all coins from Nazi Germany here. Later the nazis claimed that Fraktur was "Jewish", and switched to Antiqua, but probably because of the war they did not bother designing new coins.

Hmm, the S on these Latvian coin might as well be an uppercase character. Especially when you compare the two in the word "santims".

I am sure it is. I include capitalised words by default, since they consist mainly of lower-case text.

The 1975 Metica series from Mozambique has little letters for centimos, BUT CAPITAL LETTERS FOR METICAIS.  Odd when you notice it.
