Hey,

My wild guess that it is an Ottoman Empire coin used as jewellery.

Would appreciate any help with the identification.

Weight: 0,4 g
Diameter: 15,2 mm

Thanks a lot in advance!

The right hand picture is upside down.

I wonder whether I can see the digits 87 at the bottom (when correctly oriented) of the right hand picture. 1187 H is the accession year of Sultan Abdul Hamid I (1774).

Thanks a lot! This is the correct image.

Most probably it is Para, Abdülhamid I, Kostantiniyye mint, 1187 (1773) ۱٢ (Para - Abdülhamid I (Kostantiniyye mint) - Ottoman Empire ? Numista)

mint" Kostantiniyye" is called here : "Islambul"

I'm now less sure about 1187. The 7 is pretty clear but I can't make what comes before an 8. Agree on regnal year 12 though.

I think that the toughra belongs to Mustafa III and that the date is likely 1171

Then it is this coin: 1 Para - Mustafa III (Islambol mint) - Ottoman Empire ? Numista

Thanks a lot again!

Possibly.  Could be a Crusader fake based on the weight.  Cool old coin though :-)

it would be very surprising! in 1171 AH , the last crusader had been dead for nearly five centuries....  ;)
